Hyundai has cut the price of the 2026 IONIQ 5 N by $6,300, bringing the all-electric performance model’s starting price to $59,900, excluding the $1,600 destination fee. The reduction gives the brand’s flagship EV a more accessible entry point at a time when automakers are increasingly competing on both price and features.
According to Hyundai, the 2026 model also arrives with several changes beyond the lower sticker price. The most notable is a native NACS charging port, which means the IONIQ 5 N can connect to Tesla Superchargers without an adapter. Hyundai is also expanding the N Drift Optimizer with 10 selectable stages, compared with just one previously.
Performance features remain central
The updated model includes a dual-amp Level 1/Level 2 charging cable, along with CSS-to-NACS adapters for both AC and DC fast charging. Buyers will also see a new Performance Blue Pearl exterior color and auto up/down rear windows. In terms of performance, N Grin Boost still unlocks up to 641 horsepower and 568 lb-ft of torque for a 10-second burst, while the N e-Shift system and N Active Sound System continue to simulate the feel and sound of an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission.
The pricing move follows Hyundai’s earlier cuts to the standard 2026 IONIQ 5, which was reduced by as much as $9,800. Those lower prices appear to be resonating, with the 2026 IONIQ 5 ranking as the third-most-popular EV in the U.S. through the first half of the year, according to the report.
