Amazon founder Jeff Bezos has reclaimed the title of the world’s richest person this week, unseating Tesla and SpaceX pioneer Elon Musk. This comes after Tesla Inc. stocks slipped by 2.4% during Tuesday’s trading.

Having help at the top spot for six weeks, Elon Musk lost approximately $4.5 billion as a result of his EV company’s recent slip. This brings his net worth to approximately $190 billion; just one billion shy of Jeff Bezos. While Amazon experienced their own dip on Tuesday, this decline shedded Bezos’ fortune by only $372 million.

Musk initially dethroned Bezos as the world’s richest man in early January, when Tesla shares hit an all-time high of $883.09 on January 26. Owning 170 million Tesla shares, Musk’s share in the company exploded by $106 billion as the result of a 743% stock jump.

While it remains unclear as to the extent that SpaceX has affected Musk’s net worth, the space exploration giant completed an equity funding round of $850 million just last week.

Tesla Inc. shares rose by a paper-thin margin of 0.2% on Thursday, resulting in minimal change to the value of Musk’s estate. As for Amazon, the eCommerce giant has managed to embark on a steady recovery since Tuesday’s slip, gaining 1.2% to reach the value of $3,308.64 per share.
