Shareholders of the U.K. branch of Unilever recently voiced their opinions in a vote regarding the motion to unify the company’s headquarters in Britain, an inside source revealed.

With the vote expected to be officially announced at a shareholders’ meeting on Monday, it is believed that those involved voted heavily in favor of this motion. This news comes after the Dutch arm of the organization approved this plan last month, voting 99% in favor of it.

This result will provide a boost to current CEO Alan Jope, who proceeded with the notion after the company dismissed a previous motion by his predecessor, Paul Polman, aimed at unifying the business in the Netherlands instead.

Since 1930, this multinational consumer goods company has maintained two bases, in both the Netherlands and the United Kingdom. The movement to shift operations to a single base and thus disrupt the company’s long-established structure first began in 2017, with an unsolicited takeover approach from Kraft Heinz Co. The final vote tally is yet to be announced.
